เลือด ปริมาณ 4-6 มิลลิตร ใส่หลอดเก็บเลือดที่มีสารกันเลือด แข็งชนิด lithium heparin(ฝาสีเขียว)

ควรส่งสิ่งส่งตรวจมาที่ห้องปฏิบัติการโดยเร็วภายใน 2 ชั่วโมง

1.) ผลการทดสอบจะไม่ถูกรบกวน ถ้าปริมาณของสารในภาวะต่างๆ ไม่เกินค่าที่กำหนด ดังต่อไปนี้ 
Icterus: Bilirubin 35 mg/dL
Hemolyis: Hemoglobin 1400 mg/dL
Lipemia: Triglyceride 4000 mg/dL
Biotin: 30 ng/mL
Rheumatoid factors: 1500 IU/mL

2.) ผลการตรวจอาจถูกรบกวนจากผู้ที่มี antibodies ต่อ streptavidin และ ruthenium ที่สูงมากๆ (แต่พบกรณีนี้ได้น้อย)
